| Run for Home Corporate Division The battle for the Run for Home Corporate Trophy is designed to encourage your company employees to begin an exercise program and participate in one of the Run for Home events. We believe this is a great opportunity to encourage participation in company wellness programs or simply promote physical fitness! This award is based entirely on participation. The more people who participate and the more miles they complete, the better your chances of winning! Here’s how it works: 1. Sign up as a Run for Home Sponsor. Sponsorship opportunities are available for fees ranging from just $250 to $1,000. In addition to participation in the Corporate Division, sponsorship also offers local businesses many benefits including support of the Tuscarawas Valley Habitat for Humanity and positive publicity and promotion. 2. Employees of sponsors register for a Run for Home event (half-marathon, three-person team relay, or one mile fun run/walk) at half the usual registration fee. Employees may register using a paper registration form or on-line. When registering, the employee will provide the company name and enter a sponsor code which we will provide to qualify for the discounted registration fee. (It’s your choice whether the employer or employee pays the registration fee.) 3. Employees will earn the following number of points by completing Run for Home events: Half Marathon 13 points Team Relay 13 points (total for the team of three people) Fun Run/Walk 1 point The sponsor earning the most points will win the Run for Home Charles Mackey Corporate Trophy! The award is named after Charles Mackey, an avid runner who passed away in 2009. |
