New For 2010 - The Run For Home will feature a new event this year – a five-mile walk that
covers a portion of the half-marathon route. The walk is part of the new walking division in
the Ohio Subway Challenge Series. Walkers will compete in special age divisions and
receive a t-shirt.
The 2010 Union Hospital Run for Home will once again feature a health and fitness fair at
Tuscora Park April 17 and 18. And the popular pasta dinner will return the evening before
the race.
2010 will also mark the return of the Charles Mackey Corporate Trophy competition.
The sponsor with employees completing the most miles in Run for Home events will receive
the award.
The Road Runners Club of America awarded the Run for Home a $500 grant to fund a
kids’ oriented training program. The training series will begin January 30, 8:30 AM at the
Tuscarawas County YMCA.
