FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Question: What time does the race start?
Answer: The Kids' Run will start on Saturday, April 6 at 9:45am, the 10K will follow at 10:00am, and the One-Mile Fun Run will begin at 10:15am. All will start near the park pavilion where
the health and fitness fair is located. The Run for Home Half Marathon, Team Relay,
and Five-Mile Walk will start on Sunday, April 7 at 11:00am near the tennis courts inside Tuscora Park.
Question: How large is the Run for Home?
Answer: The Run for Home has grown every year. For the past few years, both the half-marathon and team relay have sold out with over 1,300 people participating in Run for Home events each year.
Question: How can I register?
Answer: Registration is available on-line
by following the links available on this website. You will also find
on this website a registration form that you can download to register
the old-fashioned way with a paper form. We encourage you to register
early for the best pricing and to avoid the possibility of the race
selling out.
Question: Where can I pick up my race packet?
Answer: Race packets can be picked up during the health
and fitness fair in the park pavilion Saturday, April 6 from 8:00am to 1:00pm and Sunday, April 7 from 8:00am to 11:00am.The race
packet contains last minute race instructions, your timing device, bib
number, shirt and promotional items from various vendors.
Question: Is the half-marathon route certified?
Answer: Yes, the certification number is OH 08023 PR.
Question: Will there be water and sports drink be available
along the half-marathon course?
Answer: Yes, there will be eight to nine water stations
along the route supplying water and sports drink.
Question: How long is the half-marathon course open?
Answer: The official course will be open for 3-1/2 hours.
Question: How is the half-marathon timed?
Answer: Race timing is provided by ChronoTrack.
Results for the half-marathon and team relay will be posted on-line
immediately after the race at www.ohiochallengeseries.com. Results
of the one-mile fun run will also be posted on this web site, however
no times will be posted. Question: If I register for the Union Hospital Run
for Home but can not participate, can I receive a refund or transfer my entry to next year?
Answer: No refunds are permitted, however, you can
transfer your registration to another participant by sending an email
to racedirector@runforhome.org.
Question: What is the health and fitness expo?
Answer: The Health and Fitness expo will be held in
the Tuscora Park Pavilion Saturday April 6 and Sunday April 7.
A variety of fitness related businesses and organizations will be
in attendance.
