Question: What time does the race start?
Answer: The Run for Home Half Marathon will start at 1:00pm the one mile Fun Run will start
at 1:15pm and the kids run will start at 1:45pm.

Question: I volunteered to help with the Union Hospitals Run For home but I have not been
contacted yet about what needs done?
Answer: There will be meeting to update volunteers on what will need done on race day.  The
time and location of these meetings will be announced as soon as passable.

Question: Were can I pick up my race packet?
Answer: We will be having a two day Health and fitness expo in the Tuscora park pavilion.  
The Saturday before the race and race day morning.

Question: Will the cost of registration go up if I wait to register?
Answer: Yes, the registration cost will go up on March 15 2010.

Question: Can I get help training for the Union Hospitals Run for Home half marathon?
Answer: Yes, Union Hospital will be conducting training sessions to help prepare you for the
race.  The schedule for these training sessions will be posted on the Run For Home site and the
at
Union Hospitals web site as soon as it is available.

Question: How far is a half marathon?
Answer: 13.1 Miles.

Question: Will there be water supplied to us along the course?
Answer: Yes, there will be an aid station every 2.5 miles along the course; they will hand out
water and a sport drinks.

Question: I don’t think I could run the entire 13.1 miles are walker welcome?
Answer:   Yes, Walkers are welcome in fact if a person walks at a pace of 16 minutes per mile they
would complete the course in just under 3.5 hours.
    (The average person walks 3 mph or 20 minutes per mile)

Question: How long is the course open?
Answer: The official course will be open for 3.5 hours. However, the personal satisfaction of
completing the complete course in any amount of time is in  and of it self is rewarding.

Question: How will I know my finish time?
Answer: Union Hospitals Run for Home and the 2009 Subway Challenge series will be using
Champion Chip Timing. This is an electronic timing system that will give you your personal time to
the second. The race results will be posted as soon as possible on the web site.

Question: What is included for my entry fee?
Answer: All half marathon participants will receive a wicking technical shirt and half marathon
finishers will receive a finisher’s metal. One mile runners will receive a Run for Home ’08 T-shirt. All
participants will also receive a goodie bag,  refreshments and live entertainment after the event.

Question: If I register for the Union Hospital Run for Home and am now not able to
participate can I receive a refund or transfer my entry to next year?
Answer: We are sorry but we are unable to refund entry fees and we are unable to transfer
registrations to another year.

Question: Is there something for kids to do?
Answer: Yes, there will be a .25 mile kids run for the little ones and the one mile fun run for adults
and children.

Question: What is the health and fitness expo?
Answer: The Health and Fitness expo will be held in the Tuscora Park Pavilion Saturday April

7  and Sunday April 18 and  there will be exhibits from local vendors exhibiting there products
and services.

Question: Do I have to go to the Health and Fitness expo?
Answer: Yes, if you are participating in the Run for Home Half Marathon / Fun run you will
need to go to the expo to pick up your race packet.

Question: What is contained in the race packet?
Answer: The race packet contains your timing chip, shirt and promotional items from various
vendors.
Question: Is the run for home course a certified half marathon course.
Answer: Yes The run for home half marathon if a united states track and field certified course to
view course information on the USATF web site
