The 2014 Half-Marathon is part of the Ohio Subway Challenge Series and the Allied Machine and Engineering Tuscarawas Valley Challenge.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Question: What time does the race start?
Answer: The Run for Home Half Marathon, Team Relay, and Five-Mile Walk will start at 1:00pm near the Quaker Stadium parking lot inside Tuscora Park. The One-Mile Fun Run will start at 1:15pm and the Kids’ Run will start at 1:45pm near the park pavilion where the health and fitness fair is located.

Question: How large is the Run for Home?
Answer: The Run for Home has grown every year.  In 2013, both the half-marathon and team relay sold out as over 1,300 people participated in Run for Home events. 

Question: How can I register?
Answer: Registration is available on-line by following the links available on this website. You will also find on this website a registration form that you can download to register the old-fashioned way with a paper form. We encourage you to register early for the best pricing and to avoid the possibility of the race selling out.

Question: Where can I pick up my race packet?
Answer: Race packets can be picked up during the health and fitness fair in the park pavilion Saturday, April 12 from 2:000 PM to 6:00 PM and Sunday, April 13 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.The race packet contains last minute race instructions, your timing device, bib number, shirt and promotional items from various vendors.

Question: Is the half-marathon route certified?
Answer: Yes, the certification number is OH 08023 PR.

Question: Will there be water and sports drink be available along the course?
Answer: Yes, there will be eight to nine water stations along the route supplying water and sports drink.

Question: How long is the course open?
Answer: The official course will be open for 3-1/2 hours.

Question: How is the race timed?
Answer: Race timing is provided by RS Racing Systems. Results for the half-marathon and team relay will be posted on-line immediately after the race at www.ohiochallengeseries.com. Results of the one-mile fun run will also be posted on this web site, however no times will be posted.

Question: If I register for the Union Hospital Run for Home but can not participate, can I receive a refund or transfer my entry to next year?
Answer: No refunds are permitted, however, you can transfer your registration to another participant by sending an email to mct213@roadrunner.com.

Question: What is the health and fitness expo?
Answer: The Health and Fitness expo will be held in the Tuscora Park Pavilion Saturday April 12 and Sunday April 13. Nearly two dozen fitness related businesses and organizations will be in attendance.
